Australian golf equipment withdraw from 2021 Asian Champions League

SYDNEY (AP) — Three Australian golf equipment have pulled out of the 2021 Asian Champions League amid an interrupted home season extended by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Asian Soccer Confederation issued a press release Friday saying it “taken word” of Soccer Federation Australia’s affirmation of the withdrawals of Sydney FC, Melbourne Metropolis and Brisbane Roar from the continental membership championship.

“The matter will now be referred to the related AFC committees, with a choice to be communicated in the end,” the AFC mentioned.

All three golf equipment positioned within the prime six within the A-League common season to qualify for the playoffs, which begin June 11 and are scheduled to conclude on June 26.Brisbane was scheduled to play Kaya FC-Iloilo within the preliminary stage on June 20 and Melbourne Metropolis was as a consequence of play Cerezo Osaka on June 21.

Sydney FC’s group stage opener was scheduled for June 26 towards Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.

Organizers have given no particulars of which golf equipment, if any, will exchange the A-League groups.
