COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — American defender Sam Vines is transferring to Belgium’s Antwerp from Main League Soccer’s Colorado Rapids.
The 22-year-old joined the Rapids’ academy when he was 13. H was signed as a hometown participant at 18 and made his first-team debut later that 12 months.
Vines had two targets and 4 assists in 53 MLS matches and was a part of the U.S. workforce that gained this 12 months’s CONCACAF Gold Cup.
“That is the best second for each him and the membership to take this step,” Rapids common supervisor Pádraig Smith mentioned in an announcement Thursday. “His profession development and success at each membership and worldwide stage is a testomony to the funding our membership has made in creating younger expertise.”
